In lieu of Spring...

Why is it always that the best things in life are always the things that have the shortest life span. Maybe it's to teach us to value the beauty or the sanctity of life. It's nothing that we can change, we can only be thankful for it's short presence. Such as the beauty of the Sakura (Cherry Blossoms), which only bloom for a maximum of 2 weeks here.

For the longest time I have been wanting to do a photoshoot with the Cherry Blossoms, but for the past few years I wasn't ever able to find the opportunity, that is until this year. It was very awkward timing, with winter lasting long into spring, it wasn't warm enough for the trees to bloom until mid May this year. Let me just say, it was completely worth the wait. The park we shot at was High Park, in Toronto. There were no words to describe the effect the Sakura has on you. A beautiful yet nostalgic scenery the park posed, with people having picnics under the falling petals of the Sakura. I wish I could have captured its beauty to at least a mere amount.

This was a short shoot, lasting less than 1hr but i did manage to get a few decent shots in. Thanks to both my sisters for their help, Bao (model) and Kaying (make up artist) who's blog can be found here ---> http://makeupwithkaying.blogspot.com/
